THYROID CONDITIONS DESCRIPTION AND CAUSES
Do you still have thyroid symptoms even while taking medications?
Here are some questions to think about:
- How have your thyroid symptoms affected your job, relationships, finances, family or other activities?
- What has your thyroid condition cost you in time, money, happiness and sleep?
- Where do you picture yourself in one to three years if your thyroid problem is not taken care of?
- What is it worth to you to improve your condition?
Imagine feeling like yourself again.
TYPICAL REASONS FOR THYROID IMBALACE
Thyroid hormones control the most basic aspect of physiology — the basal metabolic rate. Your metabolic rate is very sensitive to minor imbalances and has a direct effect on most organs — including the heart, which beats faster and harder under the influence of increased thyroid hormones.
The thyroid “runs” our metabolism. It’s the “gas pedal” of the body.
Thyroid hormones are T3 and T4. T3 is the most biologically active. Most of T4 is converted to T3 in the body’s peripheral tissues, making T4 basically a precursor for the more active T3.
One of the problems with some thyroid disorders is that you may have trouble converting T4 to T3 in your tissues. The makes for a deficiency of T3, leading to specific symptoms.
DR. TONY’S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
I, Dr. Tony Aboudib, have had thyroid disease touch my family. Throughout my chiropractic career, I have focused on the treatment of chronic conditions and how to make people feel better without using medication.
I was told there were three approaches to thyroid disease:
Thyroid ablation (radioactive iodine)
Those weren’t satisfactory to me, so I made it my mission to learn everything I could about thyroid disease and alternative options.
My post-graduate studies in thyroid treatment with Dr. Datis Kharrazian focused on non-pharmaceutical applications to chronic illnesses, autoimmune disorders and complex neurological disorders.
I use a different approach to diagnosing and treating thyroid disorders.
I will conduct a thorough consultation, review previous lab results and discuss your case. We will discuss the specific lab test that gives us the information needed to uncover the cause of your condition.
Finally, we will talk about dietary, lifestyle and supplemental changes that can make a positive impact on your condition.
